Death and funerals have a negative connotation in our society. I want to make funerals more beautiful, personal and meaningfull so that it advances healing in the grieving process. Where is a better and more beautiful place to say goodbye to someone than in nature? My concept is about 'spiritual weightlessness'. I want that the people are closer to the deceased and heaven. The feeling that the installation almost is coming off the Earth. That's why I have chosen in the first place for light translucent, white curtains, which hang nonchalantly in this beautiful landscape. They present the weightlessness and are very flexible. With these fragile curtains, I create spaces where the farewell ceremony takes place. Central between the light curtains, there is a pavilion where the coffee table takes place in a sober Interior. Despite of forming a demarcation, the beautiful nature still remains present through fragile the curtains.
